About AFIA

A love letter to African textiles and heritage.

AFIA begins with looking closely. At the tiny marks that gather into a circle. At the rhythm of a woven strip. At the way colour changes when cloth folds, moves and is worn.

African textiles belong to many places and traditions, each with its own makers, methods and meanings. That difference matters to us. Our atlas is a place to keep looking, learn the names and follow a print beyond its first impression.

The cloth comes first.

Our first collection takes its design references into swim and sleep. Shweshwe-inspired circles and sunbursts become ruffles. A kente-inspired grid becomes a triangle bikini. Navy print sits at the edges of an ivory pyjama set, while soft pink brings a pause between patterns.
